The Weekly Clucker’s printing press finally came to a
halt this month. The Clucker’s circulation plummeted to one copy, which the
villagers of Clucker , shared amongst themselves. So, the Clucker’s board were forced to concede
that the weekly newspaper, which has served the locality for more than 100 years ago,
was no longer financially viable and made the difficult decision to close it
down. The villagers of Clucker were left without their weekly newspaper. (It
served them right for being so tight-fisted.)
But the Clucker has refused to go down without a fight
and is dragging itself into the 21st Century with a blog on Blogger
and a Twitter account. The Clucker has been slow in catching up with the internet age. We only stopped using
typewriters a year ago. We’ve got a computer – the only computer in Clucker as far as we know. We haven’t got a website yet but we’re working on it. We’re trying to get our head around all this html and CSS stuff but it’s all so ruddy complicated. We know we’ve made a pig’s ear of our first blog and we
apologise to anyone who happens to be reading this but we’ve got to start
somewhere.
The Clucker’s mission is to go global and ditch the
weekly stories of wild boars on the loose in the village for the world of Welsh
celebrity and television. Our aim is to bring Valleywood to the masses.
So, here goes. We’ve ambled down the Valleywood’s red carpet to see what’s making waves in the big
wide world of showbiz outside of Clucker, and Port Talbot’s 21-year-old Lateysha Grace,
star of MTV The Valleys, seems to be cropping up all over the place. The
Clucker plucked up the courage to invest in a Sky subscription and watch an
episode of this Valleys show on MTV. It hurt our brains but it's clearly popular
amongst television viewers and Lateysha seems to be one of its most popular stars (pic of Lateysha below - blog continues after pic).
It seems Lateysha’s meteoric rise to Valleywood fame has pushed her into the world of cosmetic surgery. She told BBC Radio One Newsbeat she has had multiple procedures including lip fillers, a boob job and a nipple reduction.
She said: “When you get on TV, people pick up on things like ‘Oh My God, you’ve got a dimple on your chin’, ‘Oh my God, your teeth are like a burnt down fence’, ‘Your boobs are saggy’, ‘You’ve got burger nipples’, ‘You’re fat’, you’re this and that. I think this is the main purpose why I have had all of this surgery, just because of people’s comments and stuff. I am happy with the surgery I’ve had done but I want so much more done. I want liposuction. I want another boob job. I want cheek implants. I want botox. I want a few fillers.’
Lateysha told her Twitter followers last week: "Can't believe I'm having my nose done next week." So, in the Clucker's calculations, Lateysha should be having her nose done some time this week.
The Clucker says you’re a pretty girl Lateysha, and you don’t need any more of that ruddy plastic surgery!
